Behnke-Spiegelhalter, AT&T - Director Government
Torri leads AT&T’s Industry Solutions Practice team for Government which has responsibility for mobility applications for the federal, state and local government segment. She also serves as Homeland Security and Disaster Response & Recovery specialist focusing on matters related to public safety and national security. Torri works with government leaders supporting day-to-day operational needs, as well as with homeland security and public safety stakeholders to prepare, prevent, respond and recovery from incidents and disasters. She has a background in tactical and emergency communications, voice and data interoperability, wireless enablement of critical business processes, emergency operations center integration, video surveillance and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning. Torri works with agencies to provide continuity of communications for mission critical voice, video and data applications. She also sits on AT&T’s Exercise Review Committee supporting preparedness-related testing, training and exercises. Date: July 22, 2010 Topic: Vitual PBX, The Next Step in IP Telephony Eric Groene, Mitel Regional Manager, presented " Vitual PBX, The Next Step in IP Telephony". With the advent of Voice Over I.P. technologies the next logical step was to make the PBX as reliable and redundant as the other mission/business critical applications. David Puckhaber, MISM, ABCP
David Puckhaber is an Information Systems and Technology professional whose experiences range from enterprise infrastructure management though disaster recovery to business continuity/resiliency. He currently holds a Masters degree in Information Systems Management (MISM) and is certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) as an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP). David Puckhaber will be discussing the evaluation process of emergency/mass notification systems from a user’s perspective. Topics within the discussion will include: · what can the system be used for, how to get the most for your investment, · pros and cons of social media, build your own and a third party solution (hosted or on-site) · architecture and billing differences · management and security decisions · and features that can make the differences or are just overkill.
